EnTeam has worked with businesses to strengthen
communication within all departments, encouraging productivity
and increasing profitability. The EnTeam facilitators meet with
your management team to build a one-of-a-kind program that addresses
your specific problems, concerns and goals. Through EnTeam sports
and mental games, your staff will learn to bring out the best in
each other through teamwork and by competing against problems—not
each other. Teamwork is critical in the business world so that
more can be accomplished which increases revenue.
In 1996 the James River Plant was losing money
and hired EnTeam facilitators for 6 months to design ways to improve
communication,
cooperation and teamwork between managers, supervisors and workers. The
areas of concentration were: communicating clearly and honestly,
finding solutions – not fault, and being treated the way
you want to be treated. The managers and supervisors were rated
each month during the 6 months of EnTeam intervention. The result
was that the workers reported seeing a significant improvement
in each of the three areas—going from 47% to 72% effective
communication. And, more importantly, the union members continued
to give the team of managers and supervisors high scores six months
after the program was over. Net revenue at the plant went from
$10 million in the red the year before the EnTeam program to $4
million in the black following the EnTeam guidelines. According
to Daniel J. Keefe, the EnTeam program “helped improve communication
skills among the management, supervisors and hourly ranks which
were key to the turn-around to keep the facility open." |
